47 Things I won't Take for Granted Post COVID

I’m going to wager a bet that I am not the only one that is over this whole COVID thing. I miss the way things used to be. I hope that we are close to being able to pull out of this for multiple reasons. When COVID finally quiets down and we can return to normal, here is a list of things that I won't take for granted:

  • Waiting in line at a bar
  • Being packed like a sardine in the bar
  • Going through security at a concert or sporting events
  • Accidentally rubbing up against the sweaty guy at the concert
  • The team I am rooting for loosing by an absurd amount
  • It being 115 degrees at Coachella
  • Not wearing a mask
  • Sharing a “fishbowl” cocktail with my friends
  • Waiting for a machine/weights at the gym
  • Playing any kind of organized sport
  • High Fives, handshakes, and hugs
  • Loud, crowded restaurants
  • Nights out on the town that end way too late
  • Riding Lime/Bird Scooters
  • Seeing my grandparents
  • Seeing any of my family members
  • Waiting to board a plane
  • Checking in to a hotel
  • Waiting 6 hours for room service to deliver the food
  • Pools. Anything to do with pools
  • Bathroom lines at any establishment
  • Being able to sit close enough to people so I don't have to yell the whole time
  • In-person business meetings
  • Seeing people in person — even the guy you're really not that excited to see
  • Bustling cities
  • Birthday parties, weddings, celebrations of any sort
  • Going to the Zoo, Museum, Gallery or literally any other attraction
  • Riding in elevators, not by myself
  • Vaccines
  • Soul crushing spin class/any fitness class
  • Being able to see people smile
  • Being able to see more than 75% of a person’s face
  • Going to the DMV — haha just kidding, not a chance. The DMV sucks
  • House parties
  • Tailgating
  • Going into the office
  • Seeing DJ’s in person with an actual light and stage set up that makes it interesting to watch
  • Getting a coffee with a coworker
  • Not having to wait in line to get into Trader Joe’s
  • Trade Shows — ehh well maybe half and half on this one
  • VEGAS
  • Going home to see my parents
  • Going to the park, taking a hike, mask free
  • Getting to pet a strangers dog — big one here, people
  • Going to siblings sports games
  • Company holiday parties
  • Doing anything without a mask on

I think we are all pretty excited to get over this whole coronavirus thing. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. There is an end in sight. We will be here soon enough.
