HAWT TRACKS THIS WEEK

Let’s goooo my favorite day of the week is back. It finally looks like we are starting to get some of the releases that have been delayed from everything going on. Some hawt new songs came out today. Let’s get right into it

Ticket To My DownfallMGK — So he dropped two new singles off his new album that is going to drop sometime in the future. I LOVE this wave that he is on. I am a big angsty teen music kinda guy. I grew up on Linkin Park, Simple Plan, and Blink-182. These singles take me right down memory lane. He dropped “my ex’s best friend” and “concert for aliens” today. These are must listen to’s. He is showing some incredible talent from being able to transition from hard hip-hop to punk rock.

BRONSON by BRONSON — This is the ODESZA and Golden Features collaboration. A very highly anticipated album. I am going, to be honest on the first go-around; I don’t know that I love it. I think that it is just so different from what I am used to hearing from ODESZA. I will give this another go around. You can still hear the classic ODESZA sound, especially when it comes to percussion.

Craving by Arty, Audien, and Ellee Duke — Arty and Audien are some of my favorite dance music artists. The pairing is magical, as always. You hear a little bit more of Audien’s sound than Arty’s. None the less, great track. It sounds very similar to Favorite Sound.

Tidalwave by Moksi — This song is an absolute unit of a song. The vibe is incredible. There is an excellent driving bass. You could work out to this song, or you could groove on the road.

Stayback by Omar Apollo — A little bit of a different sound than I am used to from Omar Apollo. It has a very R&B vibe to it. There is the standard walking bassline that is typical in all of his songs. For an R&B style track, there’s a great guitar solo in there.

Three.Two.One (Alternate Versions)EP — I am a big Lennon Stella fan. I think she is one of the most talented female artists right now. She has such a beautiful voice. In this EP, she pulls back a lot of the other elements of the songs and strips them down to the bone. It is so much easier to appreciate the beauty of her voice in these tracks. My personal favorite, Older Than I Am.

An album that still bangs — Until Now by Swedish House Mafia — I watched the documentary, Leave the World Behind last night. Super sad how it all fell apart. I was looking forward to trying to catch them in 2020, but, you know, COVID. If you are hitting the town this weekend, rip this at the pregame.
